Senior Full Stack Engineer

A large digital technology organisation is looking for a senior full stack engineer to develop internal platforms that support the management, review and governance of large content catalogues. The assignment combines frontend product development with backend services and workflow automation, with a strong focus on creating reliable tools for teams handling sensitive and high volume content operations.You will work across the application stack and collaborate with product, design, data and operational specialists. Much of the work involves turning complex business processes into intuitive interfaces and dependable software services, while contributing to the technical direction and long term evolution of the platform.

• Develop web based applications that give operational teams clear visibility into content, review processes and workflow status.
• Build backend services capable of coordinating complex actions across multiple systems and data sources.
• Design reliable workflows for content updates, access restrictions, catalogue changes and other operational processes.
• Improve existing application architecture and consolidate functionality into reusable services and components.
• Develop APIs and integrations that allow different internal platforms to work together consistently.
• Contribute to frontend architecture with a strong focus on React and TypeScript.
• Improve application reliability, performance, test coverage and maintainability across the technology stack.
• Investigate technical issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions rather than short term fixes.
• Participate in technical design discussions and help shape architectural decisions for new platform capabilities.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, data specialists, legal stakeholders and operational teams to translate complex requirements into practical software solutions.

• At least five years of professional experience developing and maintaining full stack production systems.
• Strong commercial experience with Java for backend development.
• Advanced React and TypeScript experience, including building complex production grade user interfaces.
• Experience designing APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with modern React development patterns and technologies such as Next.js, CSS Modules, Jest and React Testing Library is advantageous.
• Professional experience with cloud based application environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Kubernetes environments such as GKE and managed cloud services such as Pub/Sub and cloud storage.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, debugging and performance optimisation.
• Ability to work independently through technically ambiguous problems and break complex requirements into manageable solutions.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across engineering, product and non technical functions.
• Previous experience with content platforms, moderation systems, digital rights, compliance tooling or similar operational technology is beneficial.
