Overview
An energy trading organisation is consolidating market data, forecasting and trading workflows across a landscape that has grown organically over several years. The consultant will be brought in to create a coherent integration strategy and help untangle interfaces that currently make change difficult. The work combines architecture with hands on technical investigation of existing systems.
Responsibilities
- Map critical integration flows across trading, forecasting and market data systems.
- Define target patterns for APIs, event streams and scheduled data exchange.
- Review existing interfaces and prioritise technical debt that affects reliability.
- Work with application teams to establish interface ownership and operational standards.
- Produce architecture decisions and guide implementation teams through adoption.
Requirements
- 10+ years of enterprise integration experience.
- Strong background in APIs, messaging and event driven architecture.
- Experience in energy, commodities, financial markets or another complex data environment.
- Proven ability to analyse legacy integration landscapes.
- Strong architecture documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
