Overview
A healthcare technology programme is bringing together clinical information from several systems that were designed at different points in time and follow different data conventions. The consultant will be responsible for the architecture behind reliable information exchange, with particular attention to interoperability, data meaning and the consequences of getting clinical information wrong.
Responsibilities
- Define integration architecture for clinical and administrative data exchange.
- Analyse existing interfaces and identify gaps in interoperability and data quality.
- Establish standards for APIs, event flows and structured healthcare data.
- Work with application teams and clinical stakeholders to resolve ambiguous data requirements.
- Support architecture governance and technical decisions across the programme.
Requirements
- 10+ years of integration architecture experience.
- Strong background in healthcare information systems or another highly regulated data environment.
- Experience with HL7, FHIR or comparable healthcare interoperability standards.
- Strong understanding of API architecture and data governance.
- Comfortable working with both technical specialists and domain experts.
