Overview
A European financial services platform is expanding its transaction processing capabilities and is looking for a Java specialist to strengthen the backend team. The assignment covers new services as well as improvements to existing services where reliability and throughput are important.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services for transaction processing.
- Improve existing services where reliability, throughput or maintainability can be strengthened.
- Work with the team on API design, messaging and database changes.
- Monitor production behaviour and contribute to troubleshooting and technical improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Java development.
- Strong Spring Boot experience and familiarity with the wider Spring ecosystem.
- Proven work with microservices in production.
- Good understanding of PostgreSQL, JPA and Hibernate.
- Experience with Kafka or another enterprise messaging platform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and service monitoring.
