Overview
An insurance technology programme is replacing parts of a long running policy platform with smaller services. The consultant will join an established engineering group and help shape APIs, business logic and integrations while keeping existing services stable during the transition.
Responsibilities
- Develop and extend backend services supporting the policy platform.
- Design APIs, business logic and integrations within the existing service landscape.
- Help move selected functionality from the legacy platform into smaller services without disrupting current operations.
- Participate in technical reviews, testing and production support.
Requirements
- 4+ years of commercial development with C# and .NET.
- Hands on experience with ASP.NET Core and REST API design.
- Strong SQL skills with SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with Azure services in a production setting.
- Understanding of asynchronous processing and distributed applications.
- Clear approach to automated testing and code quality.
