Overview
A B2B software company is expanding its subscription platform and needs an experienced Rails developer for a mix of product development and technical improvement work. The team is small enough for the consultant to have direct influence over implementation choices and release quality.
Responsibilities
- Deliver new functionality for the subscription platform using Ruby on Rails.
- Improve existing application areas where technical changes can simplify future development.
- Work closely with the product team on scope, implementation and release planning.
- Maintain automated tests and help keep production releases stable.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Ruby on Rails development.
- Strong understanding of Rails conventions, ActiveRecord and MVC architecture.
- Practical PostgreSQL experience and sound database design skills.
- Experience writing and maintaining RSpec test suites.
- Familiarity with background processing using Sidekiq or similar tools.
- Experience with multi tenant SaaS products is beneficial.
