Overview
The engineering group behind a digital health platform is extending its API layer and improving integrations with external systems. This role suits a backend specialist who is comfortable with sensitive data, careful validation and services that need to remain dependable as usage grows.
Responsibilities
- Extend and maintain APIs used by internal services and external integrations.
- Build validation and data handling logic with particular attention to sensitive information.
- Investigate integration issues and improve reliability as service usage increases.
- Work with the wider engineering team on deployment, testing and operational improvements.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional Python development.
- Strong Django experience with solid API development skills.
- Good command of PostgreSQL and relational data modelling.
- Experience implementing authentication, authorisation and secure API practices.
- Familiarity with GDPR related engineering considerations.
- Experience deploying applications through Docker based environments.
